Summer Glow: Beauty Round Up

With summer in full swing and a vacation around the corner, I decided to take a little deeper look at my hot weather makeup essentials. In the summer, especially when I am traveling I usually go for a more dewy and fresh look. Here is a peek at what I consider necessities to get me through the hot months.

For my skin I usually go for a primer and a tinted moisturizer for sheer coverage. A little contouring with bronzer and highlighting with a gel blush and illuminator are key to getting that dewy summer glow.

For me priming is key or my shadows rub/sweat right off when its hot. Colors like golds and accents of purple are great for summer eyes. I cover any dark circles and my eye contour with Benefit's Ooh La Lift and the YSL Touche Eclat in 2.5. I always go for a brown liner for day looks in the summer (less harsh) and a bold lash with black mascara. Using a waterproof mascara and eye liner will keep you safe from raccoon eyes.

Lip Stain: YSL Vernis a Levres in 7, Tinted chapstick: Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose, Chapstick: L'Occiatne Shea Butter Lip Balm

For lips I usually use L'Occitane shea butter chapstick constantly. Want to add a little color? A tinted version like Fresh's SUGAR Rose gives a perfect just bitten blush. For longer lasting wear, I go for the YSL Vernis a Levres Glossy Stain -- in a variety of bright colors this lip gloss/stain is amazing. It is completely moisturizing with long lasting color, no matter how many iced beverages you down.
