I have had these shorts since last New Year's and never thought of wearing them out during the day. Feeling like I needed a bit of pizazz this weekend I decided to dress them down with some denim and a slouchy sweater. Comfort with a bit of glam is the perfect weekend uniform.

Out of the Fashion Box: All Brights

Recently I have found that I am sticking to old favorites when it comes to my wardrobe. Jeans and easy blouses, maybe a sweater here and there. While these may be tried and true basics, they definitely don't push any boundaries. In order to remedy this little issue, I have decided to start to a weekly column here that pushes me out of my comfort zone. Each Friday I will feature a post where I have stepped out of my normal fashion box and tried something new. This week I tried wearing all brights, it was a little overwhelming as I got dressed, but it became quite fun as the day passed. What styles do you feel timid about?

I picked up this necklace while in Italy. It's quickly become my new favorite. Something about the colorful seed beads and the tassel that make it feel one part Native American, and two parts crafty, but the rhinestones give it that touch of glam. It's funny how certain pieces just call your name, this one shouted mine.
