Hidden Treasure

Shirt: J. Crew. Sweater: Vince, Skirt: H&M, Necklace: Juicy, Earrings: Gift, Shoes: Opening Ceremony
Recently, I have been shopping my closet since I am trying to save money for our vacation :). This weekend I came across quite a few oldies but goodies. Part of the fun of really looking through your closet is you find some hidden treasures and great combos. I mixed three of my favorite pieces and ended up coming across a look I think I will be wearing more often.

Lounging Around

Marc definitely leans more towards modern designs while I prefer a more homey feel. Since we didn't want to buy ALL new furniture when we moved in, we decided to keep Marc's couch and a few other pieces from his previous apartment.

In order to make his madmen like couch feel more inviting we added throw pillows and a low coffee table to the mix. A few pieces of art and some mirrors really made the space feel like home. Our fish chuck has a beautiful new home by our windows where he can enjoy the sun. And our truck front bar is stocked with beverages in case we need to entertain on short notice. Then for those nights we just want to lounge around and read a book we can have cookies and a cup of tea without even lifting a finger; they sit perfectly on our slide in sofa table.

Brunch Just The Way I Like It

Last Sunday Marc and I took his family to Bar Tartine for brunch. They really do brunch just the way I like it -- delicious, simple food made perfectly. While I normally frequent Tartine Bakery, going to the restaurant was really a pleasure the coffee was amazing and my baked eggs were pure perfection. The brioche french toast was not half bad either. :) Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Small Spaces

My Inspiration...
Setting up house has been incredible. Marc and I have gone through each room and combined our mutual likes to come up with a personal look which is uniquely us. One of the places I was determined to set up was our entry way. Marc did not seem to think that the entry way was nearly as important as I did, but after me forcing him to look through my Domino decorating book a few times he finally came around.

We wanted a space that was inviting, functional and fun. We decided to wallpaper the small alcove, combine some modern pieces with a few antique pieces and voila! Welcome home...

Madewell San Francisco

Last night I attended the Madewell launch party which was absolutely lovely. The new store in San Francisco Centre is expertly curated, housing the full Madewell collection, as well as a lovely "Hometown Heroes" section which boasts a variety of local artisan's accessories.

The long awaited store was packed with people snatching up every piece they could get their hands on. My favorite display was the bracelet bar which had a rainbow of ethnic patterned bangles and friendship bracelets.

After a few drinks, and lots of chatting I finally made my way around the store and picked up a few items. Madewell's casual chic vibe is PERFECT for San Francisco. I will definitely be back soon to outfit myself for fall. Huge thanks to the lovely Madewell ladies and 7x7 for hosting such a fabulous bash!

Gigi and I cemented our friendship with matching bracelets

Feeling Neutral

Jeans: Paige Denim Shirt: Joie, Vest: Club Monaco, Necklace, Earrings and Bracelet: Vintage, Shoes: Dolce Vita, Sunnies: Prada, Bag: Bulga
Summer in San Francisco is incredibly confusing, one week it is so hot and the next it is misting and foggy. I seriously can't stand how quickly the weather changes. Since I can't seem to figure out what type of weather we may get, I have been trying to make my wardrobe more versatile. Neutral colors and basics have been my weekend go-to. I do hope the sun comes back soon, my new sunnies are dying to come out again.

Something Old, Something New

Marc and I spent the 4th of July holiday celebrating Marc's sister's wedding. The Friday night dinner was at his parent's home and one of the most beautiful events I have been to. It was so much fun seeing friends and family for such an exciting occasion. While we were able to snap some photos on Friday night, we were too busy dancing at the wedding to take any photos. We will have to borrow some from the photographer once they are up.
